Berean Group is looking for IT Compliance Engineer. This is an onsite position.
 
Location: Miramar, FL (South Florida)
Duration: 9 Months contract
 
Job Description:
Scope of work:
?Attains product and engineering compliance by preventing compliance issues, developing and executing compliance requirements and standards, performing assessments and validations, identifying compliance exceptions, completing documentation, etc.
?Prevents compliance issues by collaborating with engineering, and architects; reviewing data flow and diagrams; identifying short-term and long-range issues; researching and identifying applicable regulatory and RCCL compliance standards
?Determines compliance by establishing compliance test standards; conducting tests; performing diagnostic procedures; measuring and evaluating risk; analyzing and evaluating findings
?Attains compliance by isolating and resolving non-compliance issues; recommending compliance process changes
?Documents compliance by completing compliance and security assessments; recording test results; completing reports; and maintaining compliance database.
?Maintains compliance team accomplishments by reviewing open issues and action items; coordinating actions; contributing information and analysis to team meetings and reports.
?Prepares compliance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing measurement data and trends
?Application security experience performing code/peer reviews
?Experience with performing audits, security, vulnerability, penetration tests, assessments and evaluations
?Working with management and lower level staff, compliance engineers ensures that governmental and company policy and standards are met.
?Execute on day-to-day deliverables that support the ongoing compliance needs related to Compliance and Security, Risk, as well as any new regulatory and security requirements
?Participate as an integral part of the team, exhibiting ownership, follow through, initiative, awareness and effective communication with the IT team and management
? Work with various IT groups to ensure that IT systems adhere to corporate standards and are following Privacy requirements
?Interface with IT Teams to remediate , or mitigate areas of risk, as needed
?Conduct a privacy assessment and serve as an adviser to the system owners
?Promote awareness and help educate employees on the need to comply with regulatory requirements
?Provide technical and analytical guidance to other analysts
?Provide status reports for findings
?Assist in recommending business solutions/alternatives for best practices and 2013/2014 compliance projects
?Assist in the development of compliance programs and conduct training and monitoring
?Hold accountability for all aspects of project management, for timely and effective implementation.
 
Required skills/competencies:
?Have a thorough understanding of IT policies and standards and IT policy lifecycle management process
?Application security experience performing code/peer reviews
?Experience with performing audits, security, vulnerability, penetration tests, assessments and evaluations
?Experience with WebInspect, Qualys, etc
?Strong problem solving, decision-making, reporting, communication and management skills
?Extensive knowledge of Compliance and Security
?Knowledge of the products, policies, operations and procedures related to Compliance and Security
?Strong planning, implementation and negotiation skills
?Effective interpersonal communication skills
?Strong research and writing skills

Required Certifications:
?BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) or 4 years relevant work experience in privacy and security
?Demonstrated experience in performing Compliance assessments and work with multiple teams
?CISA, CISSP, CIPP/IT certifications a plus
 
Travel Required:Yes
 
Travel Description:This position requires a valid US passport. Travel is not paid from the contractor's home location to Client.For travel between Client locations, major travel expenses (air, car rental, lodging, some meals) will be booked and may be prepaid by Client. Contractor will be reimbursed for meals and incidental expenses according to client travel policy. Contractor must have access to a major credit card for travel expenses.
Please be aware of the TWIC expense when submitting candidates to Shipboard positions. If hired, candidates will need a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) to work at the port. It is not reimbursable by client.
